Once upon a time, in the fallow city of Manning, there lived a
fat, moribund cat named Channing. By day he captured mice and the family of Omni's
thought "how nice!" His fur was like silk, most likely from ingesting
milk, and his eyes how they glowed when he meowed at the crows. Slinking from alley
to alley, paws stretched forth, Channing glided over stones and bones looking wistfully
for remnants of beggars' meals. Haughtily, ferociously daring any creature that
crossed his path to disturb his mission, he spat out his warnings. Mother Omni
occasionally caressed Channing, being ever so careful not to rile his attitude, but Father
Omni distanced himself from the volatile pile of fluff. Within the realm of
Channing's miserable life there resided a beguiling and calming influence...Baby
Omni. Sweet, adorable Baby Omni. Emerald eyes full of surprise befriending
nature's mysterious feline. Like waves in the ominously toiling ocean, their friendship
persevered through indifference and understanding. Baby Omni and Channing, forever
friends and family.
