6/15/03 - Soaring temperatures and sweaty palms made a grueling combination for a week of football camp at the University of Nevada. David survived the heat and drills sustaining only a 2 inch gash across his hand, but wowed the numbers and earned the MVP Offensive Lineman award and the highly coveted Camp MVP Lineman award.
6/06/03 - The 1970 Campolindo High School shot put record of 55-1.5 has finally been broken! David threw his personal best at the 2003 CIF State Championship meet at Cerritos College with a distance of 55-8.75. David improved his rank from 21st going into the state meet to place 11th. Unfortunately, only the top 9 qualified for the finals on Saturday, but David was extremely thrilled to set a new record for Campolindo High School's Track and Field.
5/31/03 - David improved his shot put record on Saturday with a throw of 54-03.25 at the North Coast Section Meet of Champions at Edwards Stadium, U.C. Berkeley. The second place throw qualified him for the CIF state championships scheduled June 6-7 at Cerritos College, Norwalk . Billy Wills, a senior from Antioch, placed first with a throw of 56-6.75.
